Fun uses for crafting with older people in mind. These four chubby face kids are representing your grandparents' grandparents. They are supposed to look vintage.
I've always used a journal, for like a month or two. Now, I'm really trying to keep more organized, and notebooks help.

I studied Interior Decorating and I also have an Associate's Degree in Art.
It's so exciting to use my passion for textiles to play with colors and create a more fantastical layout for my paper play, or digital designs.
For now, I'm learning how to create seamless patterns with the vintage items I have or wish to find one day.
POD (print-on-demand) allows me to try these designs on everyday items.
Take a look and see if there's anything you find irresistibly adorable. I tried my best. ; )

I will always add my special touch.
I really enjoy having sketches done in such a whimsical way that you could never imagine what the final product will reveal. When the original artist is surprised, that kind of makes my day.

Mail call
Remember family and friends who could benefit from a handwritten note.
It means the world to folks that may not have regular access to a phone or a basic mailbox...
Maybe they are institutionalized in prison, a nursing home, or even hospitalized.
If you are thinking of them and just want to say hi,
send a postcard today. I'm sure
your kind words
will put a smile on their face.

The treasure hunt
of
digging for documents

Old Letters
Ledger Records
Journals
Scrapbooks

Old Newspapers
Census Records
Old Books
LOC-Library of Congress

So many vintage items are available on the internet, the physical hunt alone seems like a rarity.
I still enjoy every bit of it. Every piece of vintage ephemera, especially 19th-century ephemera, whispers to me. My garage with dozens of totes of paper scream something else.
That I've collected enough.
Who ever thought I would see the day of creating a digital collage? It's nowhere as therapeutic as manual paper play, but cleanup sure is a breeze.
This whole journey started when I made plans to reduce those totes and make a cohesive family scrapbook of my life's paper trail. That's when I learned about the Junk Journal, a crafted journal of paper recycled, repurposed, and recreated.
